Launching

I am super excited to announce the launch of Write.Edit.Review, my specialist writing, editing and communications consultancy.

After spending 25 years as an earth scientist in academia, 2024 was time to assess where I could best make a meaningful contribution in my working life.

I have always strived for both efficient and effective communication and was something of an academic anomaly in enjoying the writing and publishing process. I have also always enjoyed mentoring and training others in writing, recognising both how this process was challenging for me personally in the early stages of my career, and how writing is rarely ‘taught’ in schools or undergraduate courses. As a result many research students (and even postdocs and academic staff) struggle to organise their written work and/or to find motivation to write.

Write.Edit.Review is based in Melbourne/Naarm Australia, but I look forward to working with individuals and teams anywhere in the world.

Write.Edit.Review can provide general and specialist editing services, proof-reading services and writing coach/mentoring and/or training for individuals and clients across academia, government, small business and the not-for-profit sector.

My background as an earth scientist means I am also able to assist with specialist writing, editing, review and other consultancy services in a broad range of Earth Science disciplines.
