AE status unlocked!

Just a week after the launch of Write.Edit.Review I’m now also thrilled to share that I have successfully achieved 'Accredited Editor’ status with the Institute of Professional Editors 🎉

This means I have met the requirements of the Institute and have, through a rigorous written examination, demonstrated my competence and skills.

AE status is an assurance that I have the skills to edit your documents to a high professional standard.

AE status also means that my work will meet the standards outlined in the IPEd standards for editing practice (3rd edition), and that I will adhere to the Institute’s Code of Ethics.

The accreditation exam was the first written exam I’d completed since my undergraduate days (quite a long time ago so the process was just a little stressful!) and I’m really proud of achieving the required standard. Many congratulations also to the other 37 new accredited editors of the 2024/25 cohort across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
